Screw machine products are made on automatic lathes which can quickly mass-produce parts from bars of raw stock. A screw machine uses cutting methods similar to that of a lathe but is highly automated. Screw machine products and turned parts are typically used to produce mid to high-volume, low-cost parts. The traditional screw machine automatically turns/faces the part, cuts it off, and advances the rod for the next part. Screw machine products can be manufactured from aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, brass, bronze, and plastic.
